I was wondering where the U1 wire would go on the nest 4.

Hi, @Sangphan!

Thank you for posting in the community. I appreciate you sharing the photo of your current wiring configuration. I'd be glad to assist you with the wiring installation for your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen).

Based on the information you provided, your system appears compatible with the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen). Before wiring the thermostat, you'll need to remove any jumpers that may be present. Jumpers are small wires that connect terminals on your old thermostat. They won't be necessary with the Nest thermostat.

Here's how to insert the wires into the Nest thermostat:

  • The white wire goes to W1.
  • The yellow wire goes to Y1.
  • The green wire goes to G.
  • The black wire goes to W2.
  • The blue wire goes to C.
  • The red wire goes to Rc.
  • The orange wire goes to AQ+. This terminal controls your humidifier, dehumidifier, or ventilation system.

For additional instructions on configuring your thermostat, you can refer to this article: Get started with your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen)

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana.
