My Nest has suddenly stopped heating hot water. I don't have a combi so the water is just heated in a tank. The central heating still works fine but whether I boost or use the schedule the hot water just does not get heated. The pump never kicks in and the boiler doesn't do anything. The background on the app goes orange, but nothing happens.
I'm thinking it might be a broken heat link. Anyone had anything similar?

Hello there @tinytim84 and @FlippyFF ! Thanks for posting. I am so sorry to hear that you're facing issues with your hot water. I will be more than happy to assist you. Let's try to run some tests. Please turn off the heating. Go next to the Heat Link with the Nest App and boost the Hot Water. Please listen for a ''click'' sound and let me know if you hear it or not.

Hmmm, like you I have a hot water cylinder, I went to have a shower around 10am this morning and had luke warm water at best, the hot water cycle should have run between 05:30 - 06:00 UK time (and the water would still normally by hot by this time). I've just come home from work and again found little hot water, the evening hot water cycle should have been 18:30 - 19:00. Both of these schedules are still set. I actually came here looking to see if there are any logs I can inspect to confirm these cycles were triggered. I believe the boost I triggered around 1pm worked - the boiler certainly started and when checking the cylinder I could feel the contained heat.

Hi, I’m experiencing the same issue! We hve 2 heat links for hot water (I don’t know why) and when I turn one on I hear a click but no click when I turn on the other? Thanks, mar

Hi there! Each Heat Link is connected to one thermostat. You will be able to hear the "click" sound on the other Heat Link only if you activate the thermostat that is connected to that particular Heat Link.

Hello there! Just checking in with you. Did you see my colleague's previous message?

Yes I did thanks. I've also spoken to someone from support and I do hear the click, so I don't think it's actually a problem with the thermostat. I've got a plumber coming to have a look at changing the valve head.
