I have a Nest G4CVZ thermostat, and when removing it to do some painting, one of the wires has broken off, leaving a piece of wire inside the connector. Trying to figure out how to remove it?

Hi Robinga2,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. Could you share a photo of the base of your Nest Thermostat? Also, have you tried using tweezers to remove it?
Thanks,
Edward

I was able to use tweezers to get it out finally. I was just wondering if there was an easier method to release it.

Hello Robinga2,
It's good to know that you were able to pull out the wire safely. Only pushing the tab down and then pulling out the wire with the help of a tool would do the trick.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Mark
