I had my first nest in 2017 and it lasted 5 years before it broke. I got a new one and then it broke after 13 months. It seems like nest devices aren't too reliable. Does anyone else's nest device have a short lifespan?

Hello trisianto,
I'm so sorry to hear that your Nest Thermostat broke again. I know how frustrating that can be. I'm happy to help troubleshoot the issue and see if we can get it working again.
Can you please tell me more about what happened? Which Nest Thermostat is this? Also, from what country are you posting?
Regards,
Mark

Hi, I've already worked with a support and confirmed the nest device needs a replacement. I'm basically just curious how long do we expect nest device to last, since in my experience they don't seem to last long.

Hi trisianto,
Thanks for getting back to us. Were you granted the replacement of your Nest Thermostat with our support? Also, the average lifespan of a Nest Thermostat is about 10 years, but there are times when your Nest Thermostat can go bad and will need to be replaced.
I appreciate your input, Mark.

Zoe
