How to Lock Thermostat E in UK

Hi. I’m in the UK and want to lock my thermostat so renters cannot raise the temperature. Can this be done in the UK as the Help article suggests this only applies to US models?

As far as I'm aware, it should also be possible to do this using Nest Thermostat E in the UK. What happens when you try?
