We have nest thermostats in a vacation home, and occasionally I will get in to the app and see that a thermostat is not online. With the cameras I get an alert if they go offline, is there a way to get an alert if a thermostat goes offline?

I did and it didn’t help. What I am trying to figure out is the following. I have a home I am not at all the time down south. Occasionally the drain on the furnace will get clogged which in turn shuts off the nest unit. Currently I have to go look at the app, and can either see the unit in which case I know everything is fine or can’t see it and know there is an issue. Trying to figure out how to get an alert if a nest thermostat goes offline / shuts down

Hi Jbihner,
Thanks for the reply and we're sorry for the delay.
At the moment, offline and shut down status of your Nest Thermostat is not included in the notifications you're getting. We'll take this as feedback to improve our product and services.
We appreciate your feedback and your time here in the google Nest Community.

believe the bottom line is the device can not function as I have asked. Felt like a pretty simple ask. Only thing I can come up with is to have a network device monitor the thermostats and if one goes missing send me an alert?
