How to transfer Nest Thermostats Ownership?

Good Morning, 

We have moved out of our property and the new owner is unable to use the nest thermostats. Could anyone help with the transfer of ownership?

A factory reset will remove all ownership, and then start from fresh. That's the best method, also clears all the previous settings for the new owner.
