I am using the Nest app - it asks for a 7 digit code, but the Nest thermostat only shows a 6 digit code... help!

Thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. I want to check if you are still in need of any help. If so, proceed in scanning the QR Code of your Nest Thermostat instead of entering the codes. Here's how: 

1. The QR code’s location is different for each Nest product, but it’s typically found on the back, bottom or inside the battery compartment or 
2. If you have either the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E, go to Settings > Nest app > QR Code to scan.
