I can't change my 1st generation nest temperature from my iphone

Everything is working as expected. I can use my Alexa app to change it but not from my phone. I suspect its because the Nest app on my phone uses my google email whereas the the nest uses my yahoo password. How would I change the password on the thermostat to my google password?

Sorry for the delayed response but thanks for reaching out. 

Just to confirm, when you login to your Nest app, you're not seeing your Nest thermostat, right? If yes and you're logged on your Nest app using a different email address, you might need to log out first. Once done, log back in using the same email address you used to set it up before.
