I cannot connect to the thermostat

My Thermostat has connected to the account of the previous owner and every time I want to get the entry key, it says it is already connected. I don't know what to do, since we don't have access to the previous owner.

Go to settings from your thermostat display. Then, turn the ring until you see the reset, and select the account connection under reset. After that, try to add the thermostat from your nest app.

Eveluna, I am sorry but what you are suggesting will not work. Unfortunately as long as that nest thermostat is registered on a previous owners nest account, it cannot be changed by the next person. I think this  is done to prevent these thermostats from being stolen and being reused by somebody else. They’re locked to the Nest account until that owner goes in to the Nest account and remove the device. Once that device is removed form the Nest App or Google Home App, you can go back into the nest thermostat, go to the nest app setting, and reset it. But until it’s been removed from the old account you cannot do that.

If this option will not work. Then, the last resort is a replacement.

I've consulted a technical support with this, they said it's fine as long as it's a new account where you're about to add the device, you did the account connection reset from the thermostat, you can add it on the nest app.
