I have a IComfort (lennox thermostat) I want to change out with a nest

I have 4 wires coming out of the thermostat C i+ i- R and have to put them into the 6 slots.  I have seen other forums saying you don't need all 6 wires to be hooked up.  I can put the C and R in their spots but where do I put the i+ and i- wires ( I have Y W G and OB left?

Unfortunately, it looks like that could be a proprietary or "communicating" thermostat. The clue in your case is the i+ and i- which are not standard terminal indicators. As such the HVAC system may not be compatible with Nest Thermostats.

A picture of the old thermostat with wiring connected may help confirm it.

Read the link above to verify for your system.

Hired a professional HVAC person at $180/hr to connect but it works great -only used 4 wires

Could you please tell us how that was done?  A photo perhaps or just a good description.  I would like to do the same.

thanks

can you share the photos of installation to # or please add a google photo link with those photos. It would be great if you can do that as lennox is a terrible system with very less information available about the thermostat compatibility and it is very expensive also.

i have updated the firmware of my lennox icomfort wifi thermostat and next day onward it is showing a white screen . Luckily i am able to control it via mobile app but i want to fix it or replace it with google nest
