I have a boiler with three wires, R W C respectively. I want to replace the nest recently, but it doesn't work after I connect the wires. If I only connect R and W, it will turn on, but it won't charge. Can anyone help me? Please

Hi ctmg1991,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Thermostat doesn't work after you connected your thermostat wires to it. Since it is a newly installed thermostat, follow these:

  1. Inspect the thermostat display.
    • Remove the thermostat display from its base and check if any connector pins are bent.
  2. Ensure that the wires are connected properly.
    • Check if the thermostat wires are secured in their terminals and all the buttons are down.
  3. if you've made sure that the thermostat display and wires are in good condition and low battery message still shows, charge the thermostat via a micro-USB cable then use it to plug the thermostat’s display into a power outlet and leave it plugged in.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Zoe

Hi ctmg1991,

Thanks for getting back to us. Could you send us a photo of your previous thermostat wiring configuration instead so we can take a closer look?

Regards,

Zoe
