Did you tell it the system has heat and AC?

Do you get both the Blue temperature AC and Orange temperature Heat settings on the Nest?

This morning the Nest turn on AC when my Nest inside the house is 69 Orange color but Cold Air freezing the house from the AC running outside. I turn off the Nest thermostat and it’s still running. After 5mins and it’s still running I decided to switch off my AC from circuit breaker and my furnace fan is still running even my Nest was set at Off five mins ago. Then I had to shut off my Furnace from circuit breaker too.

I had this same issue a week ago after I installed the Nest and we got freeze from 12 AM until 7AM.

Give this a try.

Swap the Yellow (Y1) and the White (W1) wires in the Nest and then call for cooling.

Does it blow hot air?

Then call for heat, and it should blow cold air.

Does it?

Hi Platinum Product Expert,
"Swap the Yellow (Y1) and the White (W1) wires."
Do you mean I should move the Yellow wire from Y1 to W1 and White wire to Y1?

At current setting I get heat when I set for heat. I also get cold when I set cold.

So what is the exact color wire needs to connects to Nest Y1 and W1?

Thanks,

Pham

You might need to reinstall the original thermostat.

Some high efficiency furnaces need to use specific thermostat what is the model number for your furnace or post pictures of the model info decal and some of wiring at the furnace.

The furnace model is Carrier band and it's MODEL 59SC5B.

My AC is also Carrier and it has 2 wires (yellow and blue) connect to furnace circuit board and they link to my thermostat.

Wiring looks correct.

You can put the original Tstat back on and see if the system works normally.

Since it keeps running with the Nest shut off, that sounds like a bad main board but try the old Tstat fisrt.

Sorry if there is a delay when you ask questions on here. Most of us are volunteers that just help out.

The ones that say "community specialist" actually work for Google.
