I need help getting my fan to run 24/7

I need help getting my fan to run 24/7.

If I go to settings > schedule,  and say Always, it still asks for number of minutes per hour to run, and for what hours. The most I can set it for is from 12AM to 11PM which is 23 hours. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hi Bsmith13,

Thanks for reaching out. I'd love to know more about this. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, could you share a screenshot of the display where you're selecting the fan schedule?

Thanks,

Edward

sorry for my delayed response, but yes I still need help with this. Here is a screenshot of how I set up the fan schedule. This is the original nest thermostat 1.4. Thank you!

Hi Bsmith13,

Thanks for the screenshot, it looks like the link you provided is not the screenshot of the fan schedule. Also, have you tried setting the fan schedule using the app?

Thanks,

Edward

Hi Bsmith13,

Thanks for the screenshot. It appears that we can only schedule the fan for 23 hours. I understand that having the fan run 24 hours would be helpful. Our team is always looking for ways to improve and we'll take this as feedback.

Thanks,

Edward

Edward, the problem isn't that it runs 23 hours instead of 24...it's that that setting doesn't work at all. The fan always defaults to auto unless I set it manually in my thermostat settings. In those settings, I can set a timer for up to 12 hours at a time. But unless I do this, the fan defaults to auto, even when the schedule is set for it to run 23 hours a day.

Can you please advise? Thanks.

Hello there,

I'm sorry for the late reply. I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for the assistance, @EdwardT.

@Bsmith13, please try to keep the fan on all the time, or "always," and set the timer from 12 to 12 so that your thermostat fan runs for 24 hours. Please let me know if that helps.

Best regards,

Mark

The fan is not running 24/7

The fan setting remains at 12am-12pm, on for 60 minutes every hour, and that doesn't make it constantly run.
