Identifying my kit

I currently have two Nest thermostats, one at home with a reference of Model -Display 2.14 and a serial number beginning with 02.

The second Nest is in a holiday Lodge and has a reference of Model-Display 3.7 and a serial number starting with 09.

My question is, does that model number indicate the generation of Nest I have? I thought I was looking for T2 or T3 for 2nd or 3rd generation but I can't find this anywhere within the numbers on the app.

I am getting a bit anxious about the one at the Lodge potentially no longer having the ability to control remotely when we are away from home and the Winter months come along.

Open the Nest app:

  1. Select your thermostat on the app home screen.
  2. Tap the settings cog.
  3. Tap Technical info.
  4. Refer to the numbers next to "display model”. The first digit of the number tells you what thermostat you have:
    • 1.xx is Nest Learning Thermostat (1st gen)
    • 2.xx is Nest Learning Thermostat (2nd gen)
    • 3.xx is Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen)
    • 4.xx is Nest Thermostat E
