If Thermostat is locked, can you boost water heating from the thermostat?

Hi, I have a holiday cottage with a nest thermostat and I like the idea of having it locked but noticed that I was unable to turn the heating on for the hot water tank from the thermostat.

I would want holiday makes to be able to increase or decrease the temp they want within a range. (Which is fine) but I would also want them to be able to turn the hot water heating on too. In the app you can boost for say 30min or 1 hour etc. can you do the same with just the locked thermostat?

Thank you for reaching out! The reason why you have an option to put a pin on your thermostat is to make sure that nobody that doesn't have the password will temper with it, so unless you unlock it, you can't change the temperature or boost the hot water. However, if you have it connected to the Nest app, you can control it from there without unlocking it.
