Install Nest Learning Thermostat.......wires from existing thermostat Canada

existing thermostat has a black and white wire connected to my thermostat to furnace only as I do not have air conditioning .

Furnace is about 15 years old as is thermostat. Cannot see how I can configure the new nest thermostat. Any suggestions ?

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • What's the make and model of your current thermostat?

Thanks for your comments, I had to call my furnace technician to connect, there were 2 other wires red and green wrapped around the outer casing, that were not currently connected to the thermostat , but were connected to the furnace. All is working now but cost a few hundred to connecting as well as setting up the app. Peace of mind for future use in the long run.
