Installation nest thermostat

Nest thermostat is compatible. Followed directions, powered off, took pictures of wiring, labeled, reinstalled. Through oodles home app setup its claiming no wires detected. Powered back off, stripped and cut to new copper, powered AC back on. Still no wires detected. Please can I get some help!? Thank you.

How about uploading the picture you took of the old thermostat and the nest backplate so we can see the wires.

You got it. Disclaimer: It's really easy to follow directions, which I did. Called Nest/Google technical support, and after a little over an hour they simply said I should return their product haha.

It won't let me upload original hookup but it's the same except there's a bridge for R and Rc. Orange/brown *OB wasn't connected initially however Google tech said to connect with Nest thermostat.

That is odd.  If specific wire was not connected on your old thermostat, it should not be connected to the Nest Thermostat. Unless, of course, you checked the other end to see what it is connected to.
