My existing therm wires are RWG, but the install manual only shows RWY. Do I treat the G as if it’s Y? Also, not sure if this matters, but the therm wires comes into the unit and are wire nutted onto stranded wires that have a female crimp connection for attaching to the board. I assume I just install the PC at that connection point?
Lastly, I do not have anything that states C connection on the board. There is a connection next to the RGW connections that would allow for a wire to be attached with a screw, which is present.
Any help is appreciated.

I’ve determined that the screwed connection next to the RGW posts is for a humidifier. Seems I need to either attach this to the transformer, or plug it into the wiring harness that connects the 2 wires coming off the transformer into the motherboard? Anyone?

Hello ScoutDadof2,
Thanks for taking the time to post about your system and how the Nest Power Connector can help provide constant power to your thermostat. It appears that you have a heat-only system with a separate fan unit. In this case, you cannot use the Nest Power Connector from G to Y because it was designed only for the heating and cooling terminals. I'd suggest getting help from a professional installer. You can schedule an appointment and get pricing from OnTech, our pro installation partner.
Here are some references to help you install your new Nest Power Connector on your HVAC system.
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Mark

It seems the reply I sent previously had not posted.
my furnace has a cool setting, but does not have any external unit to help it function as actual A/C. The cool setting simply turns the fan on.
Hope that helps clarify our system. Is there a way to post a picture of the mother board for the furnace?

Unfortunately there is no camera icon in the text box. I’m going to try and save a few photos in a Google album and send a link.

Hello ScoutDadof2,
I'm sorry for the delayed response, and thanks for posting the pictures of your system's panel. Checking the photos, it appears to be complex, as we couldn't determine where to install the C connector. It's best to contact an HVAC technician for a proper installation to avoid system issues with the installation.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Regards,
Mark

Didn’t think you were able to help with this? Called my HVAC company and I got a real run around from them about whether or not they could do it. Trying to connect with a buddy that’s a GC to see if he can help.
