How do I turn off the nest energy rewards program that locks me out of my thermostat. I never signed up.

Hi Julie Katz,

You can’t use the Nest app to start or stop participating in this program unfortunately. That’s because your reward from your energy partner is based on your agreement to help out whenever there’s an energy rush hour. Therefore, to un-enrol you need to contact your energy provider.

From seeing posts from various users and their experience with various energy providers, it may take you some time to find a support agent that understands what you're asking for unfortunately. If this happens, it most definitely is your energy provider that can un-enrol you, so I'd encourage you to ask to speak to a supervisor or to escalate your case with them if required.
