Hello
I have 3rd gen and living in Kuwait. I have issue on showing the weather in nest because Kuwait is not available. Some time it’s work and most of the time not. When I try to choose from the list Kuwait is not available but I do it from google home, it’s available and for some time was updating to nest but most of time failing.
I have see similar topic but no resolution and topic closed. It’s a simple program which require to take the weather from the location where is installed.
I hope the specialist doesn’t close the topic until put the solution

Hello Mashkanany,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd love to help.
We would love to have full functionality anywhere in the world and hope to have a global release soon. The location feature may or may not work since you are outside the country-supported region. Please note that we can only guarantee the full functionalities of the Google Nest Thermostats in those countries where they are fully supported, like the United States, Canada, the UK, and a few more. We're always looking for ways to improve and we appreciate your feedback.
Let me know if you have more questions in mind.
Best regards,
Mark

Thanks for replying , since google bought nest, it should not be a rock since to make weather functionality working for Kuwait or any country in the world. The data is available in the internet with small API will work.
nest customers are all around the world not limited to supported countries.
I suggest then to stop selling nest product in countries not supported

Hi there,
We hear you, @Mashkanany. We're always looking for ways to improve, and we appreciate if you could share us a feedback. It is, however, compatible with many heating and cooling automation systems in other countries, and the Nest Learning Thermostats' features would be limited because they are primarily designed for the countries listed in the link above.
Let us know if you have more questions, as we will be locking this thread within 24 hours.
Thanks,
Mark
