Lock Nest thermostat

Hi,

I read the article on how to lock your nest thermostat, and my app interface doesn’t seem to have the options it cites. 

I can click settings, but there isn’t a setting for Lock. Has anyone else had this issue?

What model of thermostat do you have? Check here:

If you have Nest Thermostat (2020) setup in the Google Home app, that does not have this feature unfortunately.

@Harrys1, the Lock feature only works with the Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd generation and the Nest Thermostat E. You might have had the Nest Thermostat 2020 mode (mirror finished) display the reason why the option is not showing.

With this, you can use the Hold Temperature option instead, so you can set and hold a specific temperature preference for a specified amount of time. When a hold is active, you should no longer be able to manually change the temperature from the main display.
