Locking 1.3 Google Nest Mirror Thermostat

This is my second Nest thermostat. I just purchased the Google Nest version 1.3 or 1.4 (it's in two places on the device) Mirror Thermostat-2023 and don't have a lock option like the other thermostat. WHY!!!! The reason I purchased another Nest thermostat is the ability to lock in the temperatures. Did you eliminate the option on this version and if so WHY!? And why isn't it stated CLEARLY in the description before purchase!? SKU-GA02081-US MFG: 03/2023 SKU: 33011 J3DB2X7T8 

And please DO NOT refer me to the directions that state to go to your settings scroll down until you see the lock option. Remember.... This nest thermostat does not have a lock option like my other nest thermostat.

Whilst there's no lock feature on the Nest Thermostat (2020) you can set a temperature hold.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay and for the confusion. Hold is a new feature available on the Nest Thermostat (2020). In order for Hold to work properly, your Nest thermostat must be connected to Wi-Fi for the clock to be set. 

 

You can follow this guide to Activate the Hold feature:

 

  1. From the main display, tap the touch panel to bring up the menu.
  2. Swipe the touch panel downwards until you see the Hold feature.
  3. Tap the touch panel again to select Hold, then select a temperature to hold.
  4. Select an end time.
