The nest thermostat has the ability the set a 4-digit PIN lock. When you use the app to lock the nest, you will need to set the temperature range the user can access. This is a 5-degree range. If your typical room temperature you like is say 79°F, you can lock the system with 78 to 82, or 79 to 83. Once it is locked, the only thing that can be done with the nest display is change the temperature within the locked range.
