Looking for nest thernostate

Says connecting...... looking for nest thermostat then it will give me this screen

Couldn't connect.  Visit the help center . You may need to reset your thermostat, but can't reset if it's never been connected abs can't find anything in the help center with that problem.

Ist gen. I already have one set up even tried using that plug in to set up bit still got the same result. Could it be just a faulty unit?

Has the thermostat you're talking about ever been setup successfully?

During setup, does it show you a list of Wifi networks at all or does it not find any?

Brand new out of box, never been connected to anything won't make it past looking for nest thermostat
