Learning Thermostat is 2.5 years old. Earlier this week, got a low battery, disconnected from Wi-Fi message. Tripped the breaker and did a reset. A few days later, same issue, low battery and disconnect from Wi-Fi.
Tripped the breaker and reset, but now it cannot find the Wi-Fi, searches, cannot connect, and appears to no longer be getting power from the wiring, as the battery has run down again. I don’t see any other error, other than low battery.
I am charging the unit manually now, but unclear if that’s really the issue, but nothing has changed on my end since initial install.

If you don't have a C wire installed, then you will need to install one.
If there is a spare wire you can use it or you can use the Nest Power Connector

Thanks! I think this is what is happening to my Nest. I will look into the Nest Power Connector

Thanks all. I did a factory reset, now I’m getting a W5 error. Power is OK, the unit just can’t find the WiFi when searching for network or when I key in the SSID.

The problem was a malfunctioning unit. Google replaced it after contacting customer support. C-wire not necessary (didn’t have one originally).

Thanks Patrick. I wonder why it worked fine for 2.5 years without the C-wire, but will look into it or the Adapter. Thanks.
