Low battery; nest thermostat not cooling; not connecting to app

Nest thermostat not cooling the home any more. Reports low battery signal and will not connect to the Nest app and frequently drops off the Wi-Fi. Help Home temperatures are over 80° @

Hi Cathyphillipstx,

 

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

 

  • How is your Nest Thermostat wired?
  • What is the power readings of your Nest Thermostat? You could find this info by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power.

You could also try charging your Nest Thermostat to a wall outlet using a USB cable for at least 30 mins before checking the power readings.
