Migrated Nest to Google and Now in Hell!

Hey Knowledgeable People!

I migrated by Nest account to Google (successfully, it said). But when I logged into my Nest app using my gmail address the screen only shows my gmail pic, name, Messages and Support icons, and Home at the bottom. My three thermostats are gone.

I've tried adding a thermostat (learning gen3) using the + key, but after scanning the code on the thermostat and following the steps i get stymied when it wants my to enter e key. When I go into the thermostat settings and get to where a code should be displayed it unsurprisingly says it's already connected to an account.

I've also tried logging into the Nest app using my Nest credentials but it no longer recognizes my password. I tried resetting (even though I know the password is correct) and it fails to send me a reset email.

I've been working on this for hours over two days, so if anyone can help I'd be grateful.

TIA.

There are two possibilities for why you are seeing this.

The first is that you are somehow logging onto the Google Nest app with a Google Account that is different from the one to which you migrated.

The second is that you have more than one Google Nest "home/structure', and you are selecting the wrong Google Nest "home/structure" in the Google Nest app.

Also, once you have successfully migrated your Nest Account to a Google Account, you can no longer sign into the Google Nest app using the "Sign in with Nest" option.

Thanks MplsCustomer.

It appears my wife migrated Nest to Google on her phone using the same yahoo email that was used to login to the original Nest app. I thought that a gmail address had to be used when migrating to Google, and used my gmail address when migrating on my phone.

Logging out of my gmail address and logging in using the original yahoo address (that my wife used to migrate to Google) worked.

All the thermostats populated and we're good to go!

Thanks again.

I hope everything works, but I don't understand what transpired.

You can't migrate a Nest Account to a Yahoo account, you can't BOTH migrate a Nest Account, and you can't log into the Google Nest app using the "Sign in with Nest" option once you have successfully migrated.  (See the Help topic link above.)  So perhaps both of your attempted migrations were not successful.
