Mixing Google Nest and Nest E thermostat types

Can I install Google nest thermostat in a home with other existing Thermostat Es?

In a multi-zone house I have five Thermostat Es working but the Google home app can't set up an additional Nest thermostat and jams when setting up the network connection saying "Couldn't find an assisting Nest Device" (these were set up with the Nest app)

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with setting up your new Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this. How far is your new Nest Thermostat to your other thermostats?

Also, do you have other Nest devices aside from the thermostats?
