Hello,
I just purchased the Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th Generation) with Nest Temperature Sensor (2nd Generation) in polished silver. My gas company is offering a rebate to customers who purchase a smart thermostat, and they need the model number of the unit. I am not with the unit where I can take it off the wall and look at it. I reached out to the installer who informed me that the model number will begin with a 'T' but the merchant that sold me the unit told me that there are only three models for the 4th generation and the model number will vary by color but typically begins with 'GA'. I was able to find a GA number from the receipt but now concerned that the installer said the model number will start with a 'T.' The app has the model name but not the model number. If I have the 4th generation learning thermostat in polished silver, would the model number be GA05551-US or should it begin with the letter 'T?'
Thanks in advance,

Hi @Evo824
A quick search of US retails show that the GA05551-US looks to be the Nest 4th gen thermostat in silver. You can also look at the Nest or Google Home app under the thermostat's settings to get the model number and serial number as well.
Hope this helps-
Jill

Thank you Jill, as noted above in my post - for some reason, the Google Home App does not contain the model number, only the model name.
Thanks,
