More wires then needed

My existing heat pump thermostat has connections labeled:

  • Rc
  • G
  • Y1
  • O/B
  • C
  • W1
  • W2

It looks like the wire inserted in the W2 slot is labeled Y2.

W1 has white

O/B  has what looks like orange

What do I do here?

@Patrick_Caezza does that pic help?

Yes, it does.

Your system is only compatible with the Nest 3rd Gen Learning Thermostat.

Try this wiring

Red - Rc to Rc

Green - G to G

Yellow - Y1 to Y1

Orange - OB to OB

Blue - C to C

White - W1 to W1

Brown - W2 to W2/AUX
