Moved house and taken router

So. I have moved out our house and taken the router to the new house. I did nothing to the thermostat my question is now it is to late reset it what happens with the new owner when he puts his router in? Will he be able to reset it or will I have to do something?

Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community about your Nest thermostat. I'm here to help you with that.

 

To answer your question, new owners have the possibility to reset the devices and configure them with this new router. With the reset, the new user can set up the thermostat with the necessary functions. Only in case you had the thermostat locked with a security PIN, the new user will probably not have access to control the thermostat, but if you did not have this security PIN, do not worry; the new owner will not have any problems with the thermostat.
