Moving Google Assistant to Northern home for six months

Just integrated my new Nest  thermostat with our Google Assistant and Google Home App here in Florida.  We relocate to Illinois for six months every year, and in the past, we have brought our Google Assistant with us and set it up on our wifi there in Illinois.  Can I still do this?

There is no device called a "Google Assistant". Google Assistant is the process or application that runs on Google Nest Speakers, Nest Hubs, and Nest Minis. (It's also an app that can be installed on a phone.) If you have one of those devices and want to use it in a different Google Nest "home/structure", you could remove it from the Google Home app while on your Florida Wi-Fi, do a factory reset, and reinstall it in the Google Home app in your Illinois Google Nest "home/structure" while on your Illinois Wi-Fi.

Hi there,

Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum. I'm sorry for the delay. There's no need to reset if the Google Nest devices are already linked to an account. But they might need to, reset the account connection to reconnect to the new WiFi, reset if needed and add them again. Update the Home Structure with the new address.

I appreciate your help, @MplsCustomer

Best,
Jenelyn

Hello folks,

Thanks for the assistance here, Jenelyn.

@Bax1, I'm checking back in — how's it going? Still need our help linking your Nest Thermostat with your Google Assistant?

Regards,
Mark
