My 4th generation Nest learning thermostat does not display the 7 digit code to connect to iphone

I can no longer connect my iPhone to my Nest thermostat. It will not display 7 digit code required by app. How do I find the access code on the thermostat?

If the thermostat has already been setup using another device, you don't use those steps to add it to additional devices. Follow these steps instead:

If you are in fact setting up the device, follow the setup steps:

Get started with your Nest Thermostat - Google Nest Help

Setup your thermostat using the Google Home app. The QR code and setup key will be displayed on screen for Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) at the right point during setup.
