My Google nest thermostat can’t connect to Wi-Fi.

When I got installed my thermostat I loved the look and functionality, until a couple days ago suddenly it stopped working. Displaying that Wi-Fi can’t find and searching for Wi-Fi. My other home Wi-Fi is working flawlessly. I tried resetting modem and reset the thermostat setting. You have name anything but no success. I have read about this thermostat that has problems with Wi-Fi connection. I installed May 10.2022. A little over a year ago. Please help me out. Anxious customer. Thank you.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. I'm sorry for the delay. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? You can visit this link to check what type of thermostat you have. Also, do you see any messages or codes in the app or on the actual thermostat screen?

The Nest Thermostats have a special router setting that needs to be enabled. It's also more likely that an unknown variable in your network environment is causing the issue.

Please check these recommended router settings:

  • Quality of Service (QoS) settings
  • Device priority
  • Parental controls
  • Wi-Fi pause
  • Interference and attenuation

I appreciate the help, @David_K.

Best,

Jenelyn

I just want to check if you managed to see my response above. Were you able to check your router settings? Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
