My Nest thermostat goes from a blinking red dot at the top to a blank screen, no red dot or anything

I’m new to nest products and I don’t know what to do. My thermostat had a blinking red dot. Then it went green and said to attach to base. After attaching to base it said shutting down to restart. Now it won’t do anything. I placed on the micro usb charger, the red dot blinking light appeared but now the display is blank. What can I do to resolve this because we’re expecting high temp today.
