I can start both the heater and the air conditioner manually with my nest thermostat, but it is not starting them based on temperature. For example, if I set the heat to turn on at 68 degrees, even when the house temperature goes below 68 it won't start the heater. The same with the air conditioning. However, when I run the heating or AC unit manually from the thermostat, they will turn on.

So, I finally got some help from Google. The fix seems to be to do a full factory reset of the thermostat. Obviously you’ll lose your programmed temperatures.

No answer, but I’m having the same issue this week. Nest set to 68, but it’s 65 in the house and not turning on the furnace.

I'm having the same issue. I reset mine to factory settings and it worked fine for two days and now I'm experiencing the issue again.

Same problem here, and it's been very frustrating. Also, both myself and my cats are developing upper respiratory colds from the cold & dampness now in my home

If I understood right - resetting the thermostat didn’t work for you. Do you have another Fix?

I started experiencing the same issue on Nov 2nd after an automatic update was done. I have several nest thermostats in my house and when I swapped them the issue followed the controller so I know it's not the compressor or hvac. Has to be the controller and from the looks of this thread it's a bug from the update. Other 2 nest thermostats didn't update on Nov 2nd. Google please help!!

Having the same issue - any fixes reported by @User123456 ?

Issues continue. I've noticed my system will run for exactly five mins. then turns off. 6-2.22 is the issue and I'm ticked off.
We had some warm days for the past week, so I didn't have to run it. Cold weather is back...getting off nest this week unless they push an update.

Same issue, why doesn’t Google respond?

I did speak with them on the phone when this happened. They were very helpful. The issue is I can't remember how they helped me fix it. I would try calling them. Sorry I'm not more help.

Reply above was how they helped. I also did a full factory reset on the thermostat.

I had the same problem - Nest (Model: Snow GA01334-US ) says HEATING, but it is not starting the fan. My solution :
- Go Thermostat -> Settings -> Thermostat -> Equipment ( Heat configuration ) -> Fan activation
- Set "Activate" (because default is "don't activate" that prevent turning a fan on automatically)
P.S. This option was available in the initial set up but switches to default for some reason.

How do I call them? I don't have a number?

Good question. I have searched for a Google technical support or customer support number but without success.
