My 3 gen Nest thermostat doesn’t charge any longer on its charger. C cable works, tested with a samsung phone. It has been installed on May 2023 and also stopped being connected to internet after about 8 months. The charging problem started about 2 months ago.
what can I do to make it work again pls?

I'm having exactly the same issue. This is also the second 3rd gen I've had due to a previous fault. I will be switching to a competitor if this isn't resolved without replacement.
I look forward to a reply from support.

@Marcellomb , I am not sure how to test a C wire using a Samsung phone. To properly diagnose this problem, you need a Volt Ohm Multimeter. To verify the Power is available, set the meter to AC Voltage, test R to C and verify you have 24 volts of power +/- 4 volts. If you indeed have the 24 VAC a then the problem lies inside the Nest. Like your smartphone or your laptop, over time the Lithium battery looses is ability to be fully recharged. The Nest Learning thermostat battery is not field serviceable. In this case, you must replace the thermostat.

hi,
thanks for your reply. However I wanted to tell the thermostat is fixed to the wall with it’s stand and charged with a USB cable, I freed from the wall stand the usb cable and check with a Samsung battery and the cable was charging the battery. So cable is working but thermostat battery is not getting recharged, very annoying after only 1.5years!!!!
