I can fix it by restarting it but that requires fiddling with the thermostat swipe controls which constantly misclick on other menu items. I tried calling support and they said to contact att (my router) who then opened a rule entry in my firewall. It seems strange that such a device needs to have WAN address availability. This solution worked for a short time but then went back to being disconnected from server. Also when disconnecting from server the app cannot reach the thermostat despite both having LAN access. How can I fix this?

How is your Google Nest Thermostat wired?
Is there a C wire installed?

Hello folks,
Thanks for lending a hand here, @Patrick_Caezza.
@Acc, in addition to what was asked above, I'd love to know which Nest Thermostat model you have. Also, could you share with us any support IDs you have from your previous contact? This is to ensure we don't miss any steps.
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark
