I have looked through all previous customer issues and still cant figure out why my heating schedule seems to have a mind of its own. It used to work perfectly but since i tried out the nest "learn my schedule" it now completley ignores my set scheduled instructions. I have turned off "the learn my schedule". I turned it off last year. I only have 2 schedules, one in the morning (7.30 - 8.30 ) and one in the afternoon/early evening (5.30-7.30)but when i switch it on it's been coming on at 5 in the morning and lunchtime? Help, its driving me insane!

First, be sure that you have all "smart" features turned off, such as Home/Away Assist (or presence sensing) and Early On, and any others available in Settings.
Just to clarify, does your schedule have four set points (orange balls), something like:
7:30am 68
8:30am 48
5:30pm 68
7:30pm 48
That should produce the heating behavior you want, except that if your room temperature falls below 48 at 5am or noon, the heat will indeed turn on.

Hi I've switched all smart features off except for eco. And yes i have 4 setting points as you have specified but it still doesn't come on as per the schedule set.

As it get colder outside your tstat now knows that it takes x hours to get to your 7:30 temp. It's coming on at 5 because it knows it will take roughly 1.5 hours to reach your target temp at that time.

Well sadly that isn't the issue as it didn't come on at all this morning 😞

Is your Nest working at all? That is, if you twirl the dial or push buttons in the app, does the Nest tell the heating system to start heating? And, then, does your system turn on?
I would try a restart or reset. https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247296?hl=en-GB&ref_topic=9361783

Yes it works but only if i set it manually. I'll try the reset and see what happens. Thank you

I've tried everything that has been posted and as a last resort today I have reset to factory settings on the thermostat in the hope that this will work. I'll know tomorrow morning if it switches on! Thank you

Hi there. Sadly we have tried everything suggested now and nothing has resolved the issue. We factory reset the thermostat but it still totally ignores rge schedule and seems ti have a mind of its own. We have resorted to putting it on manually which as you can imagine is a pain and makes the nest thermostat more or less redundant. I would appreciate any other suggestions.

Hey folks,
I saw your post and wanted to chime in — I'm sorry for the delay.
Did you already try to check your Energy History? If not, you can try to check it to know when the system is activated and why.
You can check this guide on how to do it:
Also, please share with us your feedback about this and rest assured that we're always looking for ways to improve
