Can I use a nest 2nd generation thermostat as a sensor and connect with a 3rd generation nest?

No, that's not possible unfortunately.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. Nest Thermostats can't be used as a sensor and connect to another thermostat. I suggest getting a Nest Temperature Sensor, as it will let you choose where your thermostat measures the temperature in your home to help keep you comfortable.

I appreciate your help, @David_K.

Best,

Jenelyn
