My Nest Heat Link died and has no lights at all using standard mains power.
This appears to be the same issue as for several other users.
I think the solution is that the unit should be replaced and I understand BOXT are providing this service in the UK.
Could one of the community member please contact me (via connected email address) to arrange a replacement install.
For reference, in connection with standard questions for this issue:
1. How long has your thermostat been installed for? since July 2020
2. What is showing on the Nest thermostat display? H71 error
3. Have you had any power cuts recently? No
4. Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently? No
5. How many zones are present in the setup? 1
Troubleshooting steps:
1. Check if all the breaker switches are set to on.
All good/on
2. Turn them off and back on.
No difference
3. Try to turn on manual mode.
No lights at all on Heat Link via mains connection. I'm able to get lights to come on via micro USB connection but this doesn't help reset the device and same error continues.

Issue resolved in the following way:
- contacted Google Nest customer support via chat
- agent assessed issue and quickly proposed that Heat Link needs to be replaced
- I understand this is a known (diode) issue with this older batch of devices
- As I'm based in the UK, BOXT are contracted to provide replacement/install service
- Was able to secure an appointment for the following day and now have a new Heat Link in place and working as before
