Running a fully updated 3rd Generation Nest, I have noticed that the water droplet icon that is normally displayed on the thermostat screen itself as well as the android, ipphone, and web browser controls does NOT display if you have a fan schedule set. It seems as though the humidifier water droplet icon should always take a priority over the spinning fan blade icon, but it does not if a fan schedule is set. Therefore, the only way to verify if the humidifier is running is to physically look at it "face to humidifier."
