Nest 3rd Gen TSTAT won't connect to App

I already have 5 TSTATs on the app, in my home.  All working fine.  All 3rd Gen.

Trying to connect a new 6th TSTAT.  It connects to wi-fi fine, using entry key and it just wont connect to the app.  I've reset it.  I've deleted the app and reinstalled it.  nothing works to get it to connect to the app. 

help appreciated.
