I'm at my wits end witha H71 error. The thermostat had been working flawlessly for years with several diiferent ISP's and their stock modem/routers.
I changed to Vodafone recently and combined with installing a Ring doorbell and chime this is when the H71 errors started to occur.
I've even ditched vodafone's stock power hub router and am using a TP Link Archer VR2100 modem/router, which solved the H71 problem for a short while, but its come back again with a vengance. Countless resets of the heatling and re-pairing the heatlink and thermostat, the connection re-establishes for a minute or two and then occurs again.
I'm thinking there must be some wifi interferance issues or issues with the heatlink and/or thermostat. I've tried turning off the wifi from the router just to try and establish a link and to eliminate the wifi interferance theory, same happens, connects for a bit then disconnects.
The fact that its been working for years in the same location and all of a sudden the H71 problem.
Has anyone changed the heatlink or thermostat to fix this issue, as I've tried all other troubleshooting advice!!!
yesterday
Many many times, and there are numerous threads on here about that H71 connection.
One other thing, have you had a new smart meter fitted? They can cause problems as well.

I know there are many threads but not one straight forward answer. Not had a smartmeter fitted recently either.
It just frustrates me that it was working fine for a couple of months then all of a sudden the error comes up and no matter how many re-pairing attempts it just won't connect.
Anyway, I've switched off the 5ghz wifi band on my router to reduce the amount of interference in the house and the Nest and Heatlink connected straight away. 🤷🏻
