Hi,
I have a Nest E thermostat that when powered up gets stuck on the download app screen (picture of phone screen with house and arrow) and won't move on or connect via the app. What do I need to do please? I believe I've tried all of the reset/restart option available without the thermostat booting u far enough to access the menu.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay and for the trouble this may have caused you. Do you see any blinking light on your Nest Thermostat? Try charging it using a Micro USB cable for at least an hour. Let me know if the issue persists.

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
Is this a first-time installation and set-up? If so, you can try charging the thermostat display as suggested by Jenelyn. Then, try to press and hold your thermostat's screen for 10 seconds until it shuts down to reboot. Also, does it have a C-wire connected?
