I have two-stage heating system, with W1, W2, and Green, yellow  and red how do  I wire these with Google nest e Thermostate?
If I connect W1 to White and W2 to C, only the blower starts and heat never turns on.

Is shorting W1 and W2 is recommended?
If I short Y and W1 then also Heat doesn't turn on.

Hey seemap,

Thank you so much for sending that. By shorting, do you mean adding a jumper wire? Nest thermostats are not compatible with jumper wires, and you would not want to install any to the device. Taking a closer look at the picture, do you mind me asking if the green wire is labeled as G? Do you happen to know if the W2 (Blue wire) is a C wire? Because the common wire is used to provide consistent power to the thermostat, it’s important to determine what function this wire servers.

If you are unsure on that, I would recommend having a Nest Pro come out and take a closer look. They would be able to review the system and enusre that everything is working properly. Please let me know.

Best regards,

Jake

Yes Green is G and W2 is blue. I have used w 2 as c wire and AC was working fine. However with heating, there is issue. I have two-stage heating system, with W1, W2, and Green, yellow  and red. how do  I wire these with Google nest e Thermostate?
If I connect W1 to White and W2 to C, only the blower starts and heat never turns on.
