Nest E won’t follow a schedule.

Nest E won’t follow schedule anymore. Anyone have this issue?

I have a Nest E that I installed last year for my A/C. I had no issues last summer but now I have a schedule problem. The system was off from roughly mid October through early June. It’s supposed to follow a set schedule of cooling switching between sleep, comfort and eco temps at times I’ve set. It has stopped actually adjusting the temperature. If for instance it’s 9am and set to 70 and supposed to switch to 75 at 10am. It will say “70 until 10am”. Problem is, once 10am comes. It simply stays at whatever temp is was already at. It will then say “70 until (whatever time is next in the schedule). The system does cool and I can manually change the temperature on both the nest and through the app. I tried a factory reset. I tried clearing the schedule and starting over. I tried the sensor settings for if you’re home (both ways, activated and not). I even bough a new one and it’s doing the same thing. I’m at a loss here.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. I appreciate all the troubleshooting steps you've taken. 

 

Disabling smart features like Home/Away Assist, and Auto Schedule might help. 

 

Please take a look at this guide on how to disable smart features: 

 

Home/Away Assist

  1. Go to the thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Select Home/Away Assist then turn it off.

 

Auto Schedule

  1. Go to the thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Look for Nest Sense.
  3. Select Auto Schedule then turn it  off.

After disabling these features, monitor if the issue persists.
