Nest H72 error message

AmyGardner

I have recently tried to turn on my heating using my Nest App and shows me the H72 error message.

I’m still able to turn the heating on using the device but cannot use the app. However it did use to work. I have tried plugging the device into a different plug, turning it off and on again and double checking the wires are connected properly and nothing seems to work. Can you please advise?

Hi there, thanks for reaching out! Could you please try to take the display off its base and put it to charge for about 90 minutes directly from a power socket? After that, you can put it back on the base and let me know if the issue persists.

Hi,

I took the device off its stand and charged it for roughly 1.5 hours but this has not done anything.

Please advise?

Let us have a quick look at the Heat Link, just to check if it still has power so you can use the manual mode on the Heat Link to have some control over the system. Check on the Heat Link and see if it has any LED lights on it.

If it does, press the button on it. Two extra LED lights should come on and the system should activate. Press again to turn it off.

Hi, I had a look at the HeatLink and it did have 1 green LED light on. I pressed the button and it showed 2 more LED green lights. I pressed the button once more and it went back to 1 green light. However this still has not fixed the issue with the app.

Just to confirm again, this is only a problem with the app. The device itself is still able to turn on heating and hot water.

Thanks for clarifying. So you can control the heating from the display, it's just in the app where you don't have control over the device.

In that case let us first try and force close the app and open it back up after to see if you still see a H72 message. Also, try accessing the web version of the Nest app here. Just to see if it's just in the Nest app or also in the web app.

Keep me posted.

Hi,

I have force closed the app and also tried deleting the app and re-downloading. Neither of which worked.

I have now also tried the web app version which is also giving me the same H72 error code.

Can you tell me if you have multiple thermostats or just one?

Can you try to remove the thermostat from the app and add it again?

Hi,

I have just tried that but it still says the same thing.
