Nest Heat link

Came home to find a flashing red light on my Nest thermostat.

I have removed it from the wall and plugged in USB charger, as the suggestion was that the battery is flat.

Investigating further there are no lights on the Heat Link. I have checked the fusebox and have pressed the button on the unit to reset it, but without success.

I have checked that there is power getting to the Heat Link, but no life in it.

Can you please advise.

Hi @domirobe,

Thanks for reaching out. Let's check a few things:

What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
When was it installed?
Did the issue happen during installation or after installation?
Does the boiler activate when calling for heat by pressing Manual Mode?
Are you seeing any wiring report or error on the thermostat and/or the app?
Have you had any recent power cuts in your area? If yes, document the answer to the following questions.
Have you recently had service or maintenance on your electrical, plumbing, or heating system?
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps before contacting us?
Let me know so I can properly help you.

Hi @domirobe. Just checking in, did you have time to read the last message?

Hi GeorgeT, thank you for replying.

I have a Nest Learning Thermostat, installed November 2019. Both the thermostat and the Heat link are dead. I found a number 0808 169 2307 on a previous thread and they were very helpful.

It sounds as though the Heat link is the weak link and a new unit has been dispatched and will hopefully be installed next week.
